CRMC Foundation Awards Scholarship to FKHS Student

The Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation wishes to announce Miss Lauren Kill as the recipient of the Dr. Stephen Ellis Memorial Scholarship.  Miss Kill is a 2017 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School.  She is the daughter of Angie Kill and the late Dr. Thomas Kill.

Lauren plans to attend Coffeyville Community College in the fall and then transfer to Pittsburg State University to study nursing.

This award was presented to Miss Kill during the Community Scholarship Awards Banquet hosted on Monday, May 1 by Field Kindley Memorial High School.  “After the banquet I learned that Lauren had a special connection to Dr. Ellis, he delivered her Dad.  That made her award even more special to her and to the Foundation”, said Cari Redden, Director of the Foundation.

The Dr. Stephen Ellis Memorial Scholarship was established in 1985 through gifts made by Dr. Ellis’s friends, family, and colleagues to honor his memory.  Dr. Ellis was a long-time Coffeyville physician who dedicated his life to enhancing the status of the health and education of the people of Coffeyville.  Through this memorial scholarship the giving spirit Dr. Ellis continues to provide care for the people of Coffeyville.

Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Foundation wishes Lauren, and all the 2017 FKHS graduates, the best of luck as they continue their education.
